A few days after well-known Kannada drama industry actress Poitra Jayaram died in a car accident, her co-star Chandrakant alias Chandu allegedly committed suicide.
According to Indian media, Telugu actor Chandrakanth committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Alkapur, Telangana.
In the statement given to the police, the father of the actor said that since the accidental death of actress Poitra, his son was suffering from mental stress, the sudden death of the actress had left Chandrakant in deep shock and this was the reason for his suicide. .
Police told Indian media that actor Chandrakanth committed suicide in the same house where he lived with his girlfriend and co-actress Poitra Jayaram.
On the other hand, Indian media say that actor Chandrakant revealed in an interview before Poitra’s death that he will announce his relationship very soon.
Actor Chandrakant’s suicide is being expressed by his fellow artists and fans.
It should be noted that on Sunday, May 12, actress Poitra Jayaram along with her sister and Chandrakanth was returning from Hanakere in Mandya district of Karnataka when suddenly her car met with an accident.
As a result of this accident, the actress died on the spot while her boyfriend, sister and driver were seriously injured.
