Approximately 2,500 students have enrolled so far in the Faculty of Medicine of the National Northeast University (Unne).
This was confirmed by the dean, Mario Germán Pagno, to which he explained: «Among new and returning students there are approximately 1,200 in Medicine, 600 in Nursing and almost 700 in Kinesiology, perhaps a lower number than the previous year where everything was virtual. I think that something of that might also have had an influence ».
«The academic activity begins at the end of January with the subject: Medicine, man and society. In February the Faculty will be open and we will begin in March with the work of the different semesters, “he explained in an interview with Radio Continental Corrientes.
It is worth remembering that, for approximately six years, the subject “Medicine, man and society” is of the basic cycle and must be approved in order to continue the course of the career. Thus, many times, there are students who do not pass said subject and re-register to challenge the subject.
Regarding face-to-face and hybrid systems (face-to-face and virtual) he pointed out “full face-to-face will continue and virtuality, as we have had until now, will continue; in addition to hybrid courses. I believe that it is a tool that must continue, but obviously it does not replace contact, in this case, being a human science, with the patient, for this reason, from management we want it to continue in the health centers, in the hospital, in the classroom, with the interaction between students, professionals and, of course, patients».
