Meta’s owner, Mark Zuckerberg, reported this Thursday, July 21 what Facebook made an algorithmic change to its home feed for the mobile version once more, and will display a listing where users can see their friends’ posts, groups, pages, and more in chronological order.
The Feed tab will not display any Suggested For You posts. Zuckerberg also announced that “Home” is the new name for the tab you first see when you open Facebook. The Home feed is where you’ll see personalized TikTok-like recommendations for Reels and Stories. The two tabs will be accessible from the iOS and Android versions of the Facebook app.
“One of the most requested features for Facebook is making sure people don’t miss out on their friends’ posts,” Zuckerberg said in an announcement post. So today we’re launching a feeds tab where you can view posts from your friends, groups, pages, and more separately in chronological order. The app will still open to a personalized feed on the Home tab, where our discovery engine will recommend the content we think you’ll care regarding the most. But the Feeds tab will give you a way to further customize and control your experience.”
