Doha: The Pravasi Forum Iftar Meet was organized by Qatar Vanimel, a consortium of expatriates in Qatar.
The event, held at the Asian Town Recreation Hall, was attended by more than 600 people, including women and children. Salim Rahmani Kalikavu delivered the inaugural address. He said that the spirit of Ramadan strengthens the way forward in life. The meeting was presided over by Pravasi Forum President Shammas Kalathil. CK Kunhabdullah Master, MK Kunhabdulla, Dr. NP Kunhali, Poyil Kunhammad, TK Alihassan and Dr. NP Arif were present on the occasion.
A free health check-up was also organized in collaboration with the American Hospital in connection with the event.
Ramadan prizes were distributed to the winners of the draw at the ceremony. Pravasi Forum General Secretary KK Subair welcomed the gathering and Treasurer CK Ismail thanked them.
