The legislator asked the attorney to expand on the policies implemented through the culture of peace and denunciation, to contain crime rates.
Tlaxcala, Tlax., January 30, 2023 (Editorial).- Deputy Laura Alejandra Ramírez Ortiz, representative of the Alianza Ciudadana Party (PAC), of the LXIV legislature of the State Congress, during the democratic exercise, in which the head of the State Attorney General’s Office, Ernestina Carro Roldán, appeared before the legislators, highlighted the importance of the culture of peace and denunciation for the containment of crimes.
During his speech, he underscored the relevance of holding this type of event in the political and social life of our State, “The exercise of appearing is necessary, all of us who work as public servants have a common goal, that it is to serve the people,” he said.
He expressed his concern regarding the crime rates in the State, for which he asked the attorney, what are the strategies that have been proposed, in order to combat the crime incidence, as well as the follow-up to the new models of combat to the violence that has taken place at the national and international level.
The local deputy also questioned the actions and policies that have been implemented by the State Attorney General’s Office, regarding the promotion of the culture of peace, as well as the mechanisms that allow citizens to be more interested in denouncing, and how the fight once morest corruption has been implemented through the culture of prevention.
In this sense, Carro Roldán responded that the attorney general’s office has implemented different actions and strategies; At first -he pointed out- a diagnosis was made to find out the situation in which the institution was, later the efficiency and effectiveness of the officials were measured, in order to guarantee that the links and the results are accurate, and that in turn qualify the actions of public servants.
He assured that they have established different performance measures, and reinforced transparency measures, they have trained public servants, especially on high-impact crimes.
He also highlighted that, as part of the established policies, mediation has been prioritized to achieve compliance with the investigation folders, which reflects good performance and work for the culture of peace.
Deputy Alejandra Ramírez Ortiz celebrated this democratic exercise, and in turn endorsed her commitment to the citizenry to work so that the culture of peace is a reality in Tlaxcala.
