Factors affecting the Syrian pound
The Syrian pound continued to decline once morest the US dollar on the black market, as the Syrian pound suffered a decline to its lowest levels since the beginning of the conflict in 2011, as it lost most of its value on the black market.
This comes amid expectations that the value of the Syrian pound will continue to deteriorate for a longer period, in light of the lack of a real way out for the severely deteriorating Syrian economy.
Experts attributed the deterioration of the value of the Syrian currency to dollarization and the provision of foreign currencies, as well as the economic sanctions imposed on the Syrian Central Bank, which impede the movement of exports out of the country.
