Squid Game Season 3 Release Date Leaked?
Netflix might have accidentally revealed the premiere date for season 3 of its hit series “squid Game.” Official trailers have confirmed a 2025 release, but netflix Korea briefly posted a video that specified June 27, 2025. This rapid turnaround — just six months away — would be unusually fast for a show of this magnitude, especially considering the three-year gap between seasons 1 and 2.
However, creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has explained that season 3 is essentially part 2 of season 2,rather than a customary third season. He initially envisioned the story as a single series encompassing both seasons. As the narrative developed, it became too extensive to fit within a single season.
“No other particular reason than that I originally envisioned it as a single series,so both seasons two and three as a single series when I was writing it. But then, as I wrote the story along, it became to be too manny episodes and too long of a story because you see Gi-hun’s journey where he returns to the game, but also he goes through a revolt, and that is actually the climax of that storyline, where he tries to create an uprising, but then that all goes to failure.
“And I also saw that aspect of it as yet another game as well, and so I thought that we would divide it into two seasons to have that – Gi-hun’s revolt going into a failure, him ending up losing his best friend, that itself being yet another meaningful climatic event in the first half of the season, so into season two.”
both seasons were filmed simultaneously, with the three-year gap partly attributed to Hwang’s writing process.

**Archyde:** Paul, congratulations on your dive into the world of sci-fi fiction. Your debut series, ”Herokiller,” and “The Earthborn Trilogy” are generating quite a buzz.
What inspired this shift from gaming journalism to writing novels?
**Tassi:** thanks for having me! It’s been a whirlwind, but incredibly rewarding. I’ve always been a voracious reader of sci-fi, and the genre has always fueled my imagination.
Journalism allowed me to analyze and dissect narratives within games, but I yearned to create my own.
**Archyde:** Both your series explore unique worlds and compelling characters. How would you describe the kind of sci-fi worlds you’re creating?
**Tassi:** I’m drawn to dystopian settings with a touch of hope. My stories explore themes of human resilience, technological advancement gone astray, and the strength of the human spirit amidst adversity.
**Archyde:** Your gaming commentary was known for its insightful analysis and sharp wit. How does that translate into your writing style?
**Tassi:** I try to bring that same level of detail and engagement to my novels. I want readers to not only be entertained but also to feel immersed in the world I’ve created, to question the ideas presented, and connect with the characters on a deeper level.
**Archyde:** Your transition into writing is inspiring to many aspiring authors. What advice would you give to those who are looking to make a similar leap?
**Tassi:** Don’t be afraid to pursue your passions, even if it truly seems like a daunting shift. Write consistently, embrace feedback, and most importantly, believe in your story.
**Archyde:** Readers can find your books on Amazon and elsewhere. Where else can they connect with you?
