GTA V has been a huge success on two generations of consoles, thanks to the online mode among other things. GTA VI can repeat this success, just release it! Last December, Rockstar, with great difficulty, released the first trailer and revealed that we can expect the game in 2025. Now, two insiders claim that the new Grand Theft Auto will be released in February 2025, and one of them even gave an even more precise date: February 18, 2025 .
According to the Metro newspaper, two reliable sources also provided information regarding the release of GTA VI. One of them is JarlOfRivia, who posted a reveal trailer with tons of goodies before Rockstar revealed it to the public. He stated that we can expect an open-world game as early as the first quarter of 2025, and that January or February, not March, is more likely. Another reliable insider, Nuro, who specializes in GTA leaks, was even more specific: February 18th. In addition, they claim that the second trailer will be released in April this year. He previously “correctly predicted” that the reveal trailer would be released in December 2023.
As usual, we would like to emphasize that this date of 18/02/2025 is not official information at all, it comes from an unofficial source, so do not take any chances that GTA VI will arrive on this exact date! But even if it was an official date, we wouldn’t take it for granted, because these days it’s a miracle if publishers can stick to a release date and not have to postpone it. Pessimists say that it is just as unrealistic to expect a new GTA in 2025, we will be happy to see it on the shelves in 2026. For now, it is officially rumored to arrive next year for PS5 and Xbox X/S series.
Whatever the release date, one market analyst believes that the sixth installment will be a huge success: so big that it will boost the entire gaming industry. And when it comes to leaks, Rockstar is said to have taken serious precautions behind the scenes.
