Even if Tekken 8 seems ubiquitous and has already received a closed network test (we reported), the predecessor is still up to date. And that’s why Bandai Namco Europe announces that this July the European TEKKEN Cup will take place once more.
The cup runs from July to December 2023 and is divided into eight different regions. These eight regions are Italy, the DACH region, Spain, Benelux, Poland, France, Great Britain & Ireland and the Nordic regions. This time all tournaments will take place completely offline once more. The tournaments are divided into so-called major events and smaller local tournaments, which will give different numbers of points for the ranking depending on their size. Tournament organizers as well as players must register under enter, for which a Twitter account is required.
At the end of the season, the two best players in each region will be invited to the big final tournament, the venue of which has not yet been determined. You can find more detailed information and the rules under tekkencup.eu.
If you don’t just want to fight for fame and honour, you should know that every major event offers €500 for 1st place, €250 for 2nd place, €150 for 3rd place and €100 for 4th place . In the big final tournament, a total of €25,000 will be played, of which €10,000 will go to the winner and the rest will be distributed as follows.
1st place €10,000 2nd place €5,000 3rd place €2,500 4th place €1,300 5th place (tie) €1,000 7th place (tie) €700 9th place (tie) €500 13th place (tie) 200€
