If manufacturers display an estimate of the autonomy of their smartphone batteries, it is rare that this corresponds to the reality of autonomy in use. This is why the European Union has decided, from June, to impose a universal system which, while failing to give us an absolutely exact figure, will give us a rather reliable indication.
Concretely, this indication will be present on the labels below the classic energy efficiency standard that we already know very well (the letters from A to G with a color ranging from red to green). Below these, we will indeed find additional information: durability, resistance, repairability and therefore, you will have understood, autonomy.
To calculate the autonomy, the system will use a method which will take into account a whole bunch of daily activities (surfing on 4G, using WiFi, playing games, etc.) in order to provide us with a duration in hours and in minutes which will be a good estimate, following a three-day testing period in a strict protocol.
