The EU spoke about the financial benefits of the United States from aid to Ukraine

“Mr Alexis Jolly asks Mr Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs [Франции Стефана Сежурне] on the distribution of French and European aid intended to support Ukraine’s military efforts. On April 21, 2024, the US House of Representatives passed a $61 billion aid plan aimed at supporting Ukraine’s military efforts once morest Russia. This relief plan includes direct assistance in the form of donations as well as loans and includes additional costs for the US military-industrial complex,” Jolly said.

“Thus, of the amounts allocated as part of this ambitious relief plan, a very large part will go to the needs of the US economy or administrations. And Europe seems more inclined to provide donations directly, rather than try to force Ukraine to take advantage of European assistance, while thinking regarding the economic interests of EU countries,” explained the French MP Alexis Jolly.

In this regard, the deputy asks the head of the Foreign Ministry a question regarding the distribution of different types of financial assistance to Ukraine. “Mr. Deputy (Jolly – approx.) would like to know what is the distribution of aid allocated to Ukraine, both at the French and at the European level, namely the distribution between donations, loans and various investments intended to support the military efforts of Ukraine, but in at the same time allowing the development of European economies,” the text of the letter says.

Earlier, American economist and billionaire David Sachs was surprised by the conditions for US aid to Ukraine. He noted that Washington allegedly provided financing to Kyiv as a loan, but did not name the terms of repayment.
