The Etam group is launching the recruitment of the fifth class of its start-up accelerator called WeDareLab. The French company (Etam, Undiz, Maison 123, Livy, etc.) is looking for start-ups to support in their growth. Since its launch in 2021, the system has supported 13 companies operating in the worlds of lingerie, fashion and tech, including Albertine, We Are Jolies, Liberare, Lolo Paris, Chlore, Flair, Brarista…

Applications from interested start-ups must be submitted before June 30, 2024. A maximum of five start-ups will be selected to join the WeDareLab, by a jury of experts from the group. The decision will be made in September, with the program scheduled to start in November.

Participating start-ups are supported for eight months around two or three key projects for their growth, whether it be sourcing, their acquisition strategy or the opening of a first store. They benefit from advice (mentoring, coaching, workshops, etc.), access to offices, a workshop and a fabric laboratory.

“It is an immense pride to welcome entrepreneurs from all over Europe to our premises and to allow them to benefit from our expertise, our network and our century-old know-how. Transmission and sharing are at the heart of the values of our family business. And these new generation startups also have a lot to teach us and are a real source of inspiration for us”, comments Alexis Gurdjian, Deputy Managing Director of the Etam group.

After only targeting lingerie brands at the start, the WeDareLab opened up last year to tech start-ups. With, for example, Recyc’elit which has developed a patented process for recycling all types of polyester-based textile waste, or even Elyn which offers a tool optimizing the management of e-commerce returns with alternative solutions to reimbursement.

The 13 incubated start-ups are still active today, some having experienced interesting progress. Like Lolo Paris, a brand offering 60 bra sizes, which plans in 2024 to open a Parisian showroom, install pop-ups in Paris and land in several Etam boutiques.
