The English Football Association has issued an official statement to provide updates on the position of matches in English football, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Premier League had decided earlier to postpone the seventh round of the English Premier League, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
And the FA statement on the return of matches said: “There will be coordination between the leagues and clubs with the competent authorities to organize these matches.”
He added, “We will recommend clubs, leagues and competitions across the country to observe a minute’s silence before the start of matches and to wear black armbands.”
And the FA statement concluded: “All football matches scheduled will be postponed on the day of Her Majesty’s funeral on Monday 19 September.”
