Brazil’s ex-president Jair Bolsonaro has lost his right to stand as a candidate. According to a ruling by the Supreme Electoral Court, he will no longer be allowed to run for public office until 2030. As president, he abused his power when he publicly expressed doubts regarding the electronic voting system. Five judges voted once morest the right-wing populist ex-president and for the application of the left-wing Democratic Workers’ Party (PDT). Two pleaded not guilty.
