“We are with an enlarged heart with satisfaction because finding a grandson for us is a blessing. The young man found, whose last name is Santucho, meets a complete family, with a tremendous story and with the love of the search,” Carlotto said in statements to Radio Splendid.
In addition, he added that the Grandmothers will continue “fighting for those who are missing” so that “they do not invent a repression hidden in democracy.”
How was the announcement of the grandson 133
The Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo association announced on Friday the restitution of the identity of grandson 133 and revealed that he is the son of Cristina Navajas and Julio Santucho, grandson of Nélida Navajas, an emblematic figure who knew how to integrate this entity.
The person who was able to know his true identity these days thanks to the work carried out by Abuelas, will soon be reunited with his family following 47 years of searching.
“The grandson meets a complete family. His brother (Miguel “Tano” Santucho) is permanently with us collaborating with everyone’s search,” remarked the president of Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo.
Regarding the meeting with his family, Carlotto stressed that “the brothers’ embrace was constant” and that “they wanted to merge with each other with joy.”
“The father (Julio Santucho) was extremely temperate, not all encounters are the same, some have something different because of the life that family members have led. A whole family was waiting for grandson 133”.
