The passion for medicine awoke early in Agustina according to a high school teacher.
Silvana Cappello, the mother of Agustina Fernández, the young woman from Santa Rosa who was murdered in Cipolletti, posted a heartfelt memory of her daughter on the first day. And she republished a moving message from a high school teacher: in both messages Agustina’s passion for medicine, the career that was cut short by her death.
Agustina’s mother published a photo of the young woman on social networks. She is smiling in a selfie. “You sent this photo on the 1st day of face-to-face classes, you were happy… God give me the strength to continue without your warmth… I love you with all my being, my heart went out with you,” she says.
Agustina Fernández chose the National University of Comehue to pursue her medical career. She was passionate regarding cardiology, a specialty in which she had already taken courses to be an assistant. This is indicated by your Instagram profile.
But also in the last few hours, the mother replied to a meaningful post from a high school teacher of Agunstina.
Juan Ignacio Viera said that he had Agustina as a student. “In 2018 I had the 4th Economy and Administration of the Mabel Peralbo Secondary School, the first school I set foot in La Pampa,” he said shortly following the death of the young woman from Santa Rosa was known. That the teacher used the promotion jacket, the 2020.
“I had a group that I always remember and very well, how each group, each year is different, I call them generations; in this case the one from 2018, they were very charismatic, very happy, wanting to do things, create, innovate , show all their skills and abilities,” says Viera.
“For them it was doing, we did between school events and outings, 7 projects, and how I am to record everything, today I encourage you to share these images and videos, to remember a person who was part of that course , @agus_fernandez03”, remember.
“We are all crying, because of his sudden absence, which was not his fault, but that of this increasingly insecure Argentina, full of violence, injustice and without a future,” says Professor Juan Viera.
“Who was María Agustina Fernández? She was from the Pampas, with dreams of being a cardiologist, in Cipolleti-Río Negro; and it is no coincidence that 4 years ago, her non-profit organization, together with her randomly armed team, chose that its corporate purpose is organ donation; I remember that I had asked for models, and the team said: ‘Juany, if we make a cake, like a cake, if in the shape of a brain.’ They were very creative, they broke all the schemes , they brainstormed every idea I proposed to them”, Viera recounts with a bittersweet taste when remembering that group.
“Agustina, I always saw her quiet, worried regarding helping the team, studying responsibly, she didn’t mess with anyone, she was known for her activities and social presentations in Santa Rosa,” she says. “Her affections for her, her family and the teachers of the beloved Lic Mabel Peralbo Secondary School, we mourn her; what happened is very unfair,” she laments.
“Hopefully there will be justice, and part of society will help with a grain of sand to help justice be done,” says Agustina’s teacher.
The young woman from Santa Rosa was attacked on July 2 in a neighboring apartment where she lived in a Cipolletti complex. She was beaten and killed: she was in agony for 48 hours. No one has been arrested for this crime yet.
