The Electronic Entertainment Expo will return in person in June 2023

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) conference will return to the city of Los Angeles (United States) the second week of June 2023, four years after its last face-to-face event. E3 2020 and 2022 were canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the 2021 event was held exclusively in digital format, instead of in person at the Los Angeles Convention Center, where it is traditionally held.

Against this background, the Software and Entertainment Association (ESA) confirmed last June its intention to return in 2023 with a hybrid format. Now, the ESA has promised to bring the industry back together for “a week of titanic triple-A reveals” that will include “world premieres” and offer access to the “future of gaming.” E3 2023, which will combine digital events with face-to-face activities, will be attended by video game developers, publishers, journalists, content creators, manufacturers, buyers and licensors.

The company in charge of managing this new edition of E3 will be the event organizer ReedPop, responsible for the New York Comic-Con, the Star Wars Celebration and the Penny Arcade eXpo (PAX), a video game festival that takes place in Seattle and Boston (United States), as well as in Melbourne (Australia). The ESA has indicated that the E3 conference will be held in the second week of June 2023, without specifying dates at the moment. In addition, he has anticipated that the registration of the attendees of the event will begin at the end of this year.
