The Electoral Chamber of the TSJ has already examined 60 percent of the minutes of the presidential elections

The Electoral Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of Venezuela (TSJ) has already examined 60 percent of the minutes of the presidential elections of July 28, after which the electoral authorities declared the current president, Nicolás Maduro, the winner, despite the opposition’s allegations of fraud.

The agency’s technicians are currently examining the electoral material submitted by the competing political parties and their representatives.

This process consists of transcribing the results that reflect the minutes of the scrutiny of each political organization, as well as the evaluation of the material, according to the information provided by the TSJ itself and collected by the Últimas Noticias portal.

Once the expert report is completed, international electoral experts will analyze the data to verify the data collected by the political party inspectors. Once the analysis is completed, a report will be issued that must be validated by the total data from the National Electoral Council (CNE) computer system.

The team of experts is made up of national and international personnel specialized in statistics and information technology.

National and international observers are also taking part. The entire process of expert appraisal is also being supervised by the magistrates of the Electoral Chamber of the TSJ.

The expert appraisal process will also allow for the verification of the damage caused to the CNE system after the massive cyber attack reported by the authorities after the elections. This entire process is a consequence of the electoral contentious appeal presented to the Electoral Chamber by Maduro.
