The Eiffel Tower switches to “energy sobriety” mode

Thursday evening, the Eiffel Tower off at midnight – and did not twinkle – in homage to the Queen of England. We learn this Sunday in The Sunday newspaper that the extinguishing of the fires of the Iron Lady will become widespread and this, without it being a last tribute to Elisabeth II. Indeed, the Sunday newspaper announces that on Tuesday during its presentation of the energy sobriety plan for Paris, “ Anne Hidalgo will offer to dive the tour Eiffel in the dark earlier”.

Today, the monument’s 366 floodlights go out at 1 a.m. The plan will submit an extinction at 11:45 p.m., when the last visitor leaves the metal building. Several cities, like Lille in the middle of last week, have just presented and implemented their energy sobriety plan.
