The Egyptian national team uses players before the return match against Senegal

Egypt will face Senegal in the second leg of the decisive third round of the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Queiroz called Rabia, 28, and Jabr, 33, following it was confirmed that defender Mohamed Abdel Moneim did not catch the return match, following he was injured Friday during the first half of the first leg at Cairo International Stadium, and suffered a broken nose.

Abdel Moneim underwent emergency surgery, according to the team’s statement following the match, in addition to confirming the absence of Mahmoud Hamdi “Al Wansh” for suspension, following receiving a yellow card in the first leg match that ended in favor of the Egyptian team with a clean goal.

Al-Ahly and Pyramids received a request from the national team, to include the players in the ranks of the Pharaohs, on Saturday, for the current camp, following Abdel Moneim’s injury and the absence of the winch from the return match to be suspended.

On Sunday, the Egyptian team will leave for Senegal with a list of 23 players in preparation for the return match, and the winner of the two matches will reach the World Cup finals scheduled for the end of this year in Qatar.

Egypt, led by Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, is looking to qualify for the fourth time in its history to the World Cup following 1934, 1990 and 2018.
