The Chief of Staff’s tour included an inspection of a number of units of the Second Field Army. Lieutenant General Khalifa conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the President of the Republic, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, to the fighters, pointing to the role played by the men of the Second Field Army in combating terrorism.
Khalifa paid tribute to the souls of the martyrs of the glorious October War and the war on terrorism, “who watered the precious land of Sinai with their blood so that the flag of the homeland would remain flying high over that precious patch of Egyptian land.”
He stressed that the General Command of the Armed Forces has set its sights on achieving the highest rates of combat proficiency for armed forces men in various specializations, “which was clearly demonstrated during the implementation of the training activity, Deterrence 2024.”
He also called on them to maintain the highest levels of vigilance and attention in insurance procedures to continue creating a safe climate for investment and to maximize the elements of comprehensive development implemented by the Egyptian state in all fields in the Sinai Peninsula.
The Egyptian Chief of Staff praised “the high morale he witnessed among the fighters and their insistence on fulfilling the sacred tasks assigned to them to protect the homeland, no matter the sacrifices it costs them,” according to the military spokesman.
