The Egyptian army begins manufacturing the “rock” weapon…and Gulf countries are requesting to buy it

Amr Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qader Factory for Advanced Industries, stressed that the main mission of the factories and units of the Arab Organization for Industrialization is to meet the needs of the armed forces and the civil police, while exploiting the surplus production capacities in working to support comprehensive development and implement community initiatives for various societal groups in the country.

The new armored vehicle, called the Rock, is distinguished by being manufactured with a “chassis” that can withstand high speeds when needed, up to 160 kilometers per hour as a maximum speed, with the actual maximum speed of the armored vehicle being adjusted according to the needs of the forces working with it, whether 100 kilometers per hour or more.

The new armored vehicle, which will represent a major support for efforts to secure the borders in various strategic directions, and the rapid intervention of law enforcement forces to confront any emerging security challenges, according to officials of the “Qader” factory, is characterized by the design of Egyptian minds and hands, providing more space for the forces inside it, to ensure freedom and ease of their movement, compared to previous generations of armored vehicles.

The new armored vehicle, which is considered a “rock” for maintaining security in desert and remote areas, accommodates 8 individuals, including a driver, a mission commander, and 6 individuals inside the armored vehicle. The seats installed inside the new Egyptian armored vehicle differ from previous generations of armored vehicles, which is what Engineer Sayed Daramli, Head of the Production Sector at Qader Advanced Industries Factory, said about it, that they are what are called “tactical chairs,” which are chairs that provide more comfort for the forces, in addition to connecting them to the body of the armored vehicle with technologies that reduce the impact of driving in rugged areas on the forces inside the new armored vehicle, and a “five-point belt” to ensure the security of the forces during movement in mountainous and rugged areas.

The Arab Organization for Industrialization has also equipped the new Egyptian armored vehicle with two air conditioning systems inside it, which Dramli explained: one is connected to the armored vehicle’s engine to operate while moving, and the other is separate from the engine to operate when the vehicle stops. He explained that the new armored vehicle will operate in desert and rugged areas, and may operate at extremely high temperatures, which will make these systems support the forces’ ability to operate and maintain Egyptian national security with the highest effectiveness and efficiency.

Dramli revealed that Egypt has begun marketing the armored vehicle abroad and has received requests from Gulf and North African countries to export it to them.
