Dr. Lina Schlender said that smoking not only spoils the aesthetic appearance of the teeth with yellow and brown spots, but also causes severe damage to the teeth.

The German dentist explained that smoking causes a change in the composition of saliva and a decrease in its quantity, and thus the enamel of the teeth is damaged by acids.

Smoking also causes a deterioration in the blood flow in the gums, and thus the risk of periodontitis, gingivitis, and receding increases.

To maintain dental health, smoking should be quit, taking into account brushing the teeth twice a day with a brush and toothpaste containing fluoride, taking into account cleaning the spaces between the teeth at a rate of once a day with dental floss.
