The Edwards Aquifer Authority is hosting a free water delivery next week…

San Antonio residents will have the opportunity next week to beautify their gardens and yards by receiving free native plants from the Edwards Aquifer Authority (EAA).

The aquifer will host the free “Rooted in Texas” project as a self-service for plant delivery on October 5th sponsored by the HEB Tournament of Champions.

Residents can pick up two free native plants per person and an EAA goody bag, while supplies last.

Plants will be a random combination of one sun and one shade plant with various offerings including Gregg’s Misflower, Purple Coneflower, Lyre Leaf Sage, and more. Plant offerings are subject to change.

The plants will be given away in the order in which people arrive.

The free event begins at 9 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Edwards Aquifer Authority headquarters at 900 E Quincy St.
