The Eagles announced a farewell tour Thursday, after 50 years of existence.
“Our journey took much longer than we had hoped. But everything has an end and the time has come for us to close the circle“, write the Equals in a declaration.We are currently busy planning the farewell tour.“
The tour in question, which will start on September 7 in New York, will be called “The Long Goodbye“. Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey will be of the party.
Deacon Frey is the son of the late Glenn Frey, one of the band’s founders, and left the Eagles last year after just over 4 years with the band. He will therefore make his return for the farewell tour.
“The Eagles have had a long and wonderful journey of 52 years, during which they have performed with love for the whole world“, adds the group. “They have kept the music alive despite tragic losses, upheavals and all kinds of setbacks.“
The tour is set to continue until 2025, but other dates – which could include the UK and Europe – have yet to be announced.
The farewell tour “is in preparation”: “We want to give all our fans a chance to see us on this last tour” can we read in the press release.
