No need to leave Ronaldo
On this, Van Basten believes that there is no need for the Portuguese to leave, saying in statements to “The Rondo Show”: “If Ronaldo is going to score two or three goals as he did once morest Norwich, there is no need for him to leave the team.”
He added: “Ronaldo is a player who has something of his own, as long as he pays him you have to keep him in the team, Ten Hag knows very well that he will not ask Ronaldo for tasks that he was doing at the age of 18.
And he added, “Of course Ronaldo will need to work hard, but I’m sure he will because I also see the impact of the arrival of Tin Hag and what he will do in the team as a whole, and from a player like Ronaldo in particular.”
