From February 15, the validity period of the certificate of recovery following infection with Covid-19 will be reduced from six months to four months, announced Thursday, January 27 the Ministry of Health. The certificate of reinstatement is “one of the proofs that allows you to have a valid vaccination pass”, recalls the ministry. A measure which should encourage vaccinated people, who have had Covid-19 and have recovered, to take their booster dose more quickly.
As of February 15, people who cannot complete their recall in time because they have been infected with Covid-19 will be able to use their recovery certificate from eleven days following infection and up to four additional months for 18-year-olds. and more. A self-test does not provide a recovery certificate. The certificate of recovery proves that you have been diagnosed positive for Covid-19: it is the positive result of this RT-PCR or antigen test.
This decision also harmonizes this delay with the maximum difference between the second dose and the booster dose, currently seven months and which will also increase to four months from February 15. No less than 9 million people risk losing their vaccination pass on this date if they do not take their booster dose, warned the Minister of Health, Olivier Véran.
