Since 2018, the NBA has implemented a draft system for its All-Star Game, with two captains who take turns choosing their teammates. This system has been carried over to the next All-Star game in Salt Lake City, with one exception: it will take place just before the game, live from the Vivint Arena in Utah!
Do you remember your basketball sessions in U13, when at the end of training the two best players chose one following the other their friends in order to set up two teams for the final match? Well, we will be entitled to the same thing on February 19, NBA-wide.
As the insider Marc Stein indicates, the Draft will no longer take place in video and a few days before the meeting as in previous years, but live from the floor of the Jazz hall just before the in-between of the All- Star Game 2023.

Something tells us the moment is going to be epic.
According to the latest voting results for the all-star game, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo are on track to be the two captains. If this is confirmed (final results revealed tomorrow evening, mark it in your diary), the King and the Greek Freak will have the opportunity to take turns choosing their teammates, which might bring back some childhood memories.
