The dollar is flying high and setting a new record in Sudan

On Thursday and at the end of the week’s trading, the dollar against the Sudanese pound in the parallel market set a new record in Sudan, and the Sudanese pound continued to witness a continuous decline due to the political crisis that the country has been experiencing for more than two years.

On Thursday, March 3, 2022 in the parallel market, according to businessmen and dealers in the money market who spoke to the newspaper (Kush News) in Khartoum, the dollar recorded 535.00 pounds, while it was on average last week about 520 pounds.

The Central Bank of Sudan announced the indicative price of the US dollar on Thursday, March 3, 2022 AD, and the price came to 444.59870 to the dollar, while the number of commercial banks announced the dollar prices and ranged between 465-466 pounds to the dollar, as the banks stopped chasing the parallel market, which now controls the situation and offers better prices. From banks, the difference became about 70 pounds per dollar.

As of Sunday, February 21, 2021 AD, the Bank of Sudan announced the unification of the exchange rate and announced at that time 375 pounds to the dollar as an indicative rate, and continued to gradually increase the price, where the increase so far reached about 68.00 pounds.
