Financial expert Louis Hobeika, in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon, “93.3”, indicated that it is clear that there is a large supply of dollars in the market, and the supply has increased a lot through the platform and the dollars came from the Banque du Liban, and thus the supply increased and the exchange rate decreased.
Hobeika considered that what is happening is an attempt to give the impression that the situation has improved, while the dollar is declining and prices are rising, and this indicator is not healthy, saying: It seems that there is a political interest in the country to reduce the dollar, especially that we are in the period of elections and nominations.
Hobeika believed that the dollar game will remain in this state until the closing of the door for nominations for the elections.
He pointed out that there are increases in tariffs and telecommunications prices, and economic conditions are declining.
