The dog Arthur lived his first day at the office at the municipal administration of Braine-l’Alleud

Arthur, 2 years old, the jack russell of the head of division of the works department of the Municipality of Braine-l’Alleud, lived his first day of office, Wednesday on the second floor of the municipal administration. By late morning, he had already got to know the other officials on set, and didn’t seem the least bit disturbed.

From now on, municipal staff can indeed come to work with their dog.

Béatrice Lacroix, who has worked for 43 years in the brainoise administration, had brought Arthur’s toys, a basket, a bowl of water and another of croquettes…

“He’s a bit shy but above all he’s very nice: I knew there would be no problemshe explains. I went for a walk like every morning before coming to the office, and I took my walking shoes and his leash so that we might go back there during the lunch break. So he should sleep in the followingnoon. He is good at home but I prefer him to be with me, since I adore him!

Before taking Arthur to the office, Béatrice Lacroix had to obtain the agreement of all of her colleagues, even if the animal remains most of the time in her office, which is closed. About 25 officials were consulted, no one objected to the dog’s arrival.

“And when I arrived this morning, I saw that everyone was smiling, some spoke to Arthur. Everyone thinks it’s very good! rejoices the mistress. Arthur adapted very quickly. He followed me when I went to the copier then I went to get a coffee, he walked around a bit and came back with me to the office. I think he will come regularly with me. When he’s at home, I come home to take him out at noon, but when I go back to the office, he looks at me with a slightly sad look. Today, we stay together!”
