Dr. Wael Ghafir, a professor of surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, the doctor treating the artist Angham, said that there is an improvement in the condition of the artist and she is currently in the hospital, adding that she has adhesions in the intestines and intestinal obstruction.
The attending physician revealed, during a telephone conversation with the journalist, Ramy Radwan, on his evening program, DMC, broadcast on the DMC channel, regarding the health condition of the artist, Angham, saying: “She performed an operation a week ago, and it lasted 3 days, and she was discharged from the hospital, following which she complained of severe abdominal pain and was admitted to the hospital.” In bad condition, do not eat or drink, continuous vomiting.
And he continued: “X-rays were taken of her, and it was found that the intestines adhered, which led to an intestinal obstruction. A hose was installed for the stomach, and there is an improvement in the condition. Any operation in the abdomen following which adhesions occur following two days, a year, or 15 years. Any operation in which the abdomen opens, remains in it adhesions.”
He explained: “Adhesions are part of any abdominal surgery, and the chances of recovery from them are very high, and the chances are weak that we will have to perform surgery, and intestinal adhesions have no symptoms.”
