New Delhi: Pakistan has a bad reputation as a country that exports terrorism to India and donkeys to China. But now they have got the name of exporting beggars and pickpockets to West Asia. The new history of shame was revealed by the secretary of the department, Zeeshan Khanzada, in the meeting of the Pakistan Senate Standing Committee on the Welfare of Pakistanis Abroad yesterday.

Most of those who go to West Asia from Pakistan go for begging and pickpocketing. 90 percent of Pakistanis who go to the Gulf countries for pilgrimage are pickpockets. Khanzada also says that Saudi Arabia has informed that most of the pickpockets caught in the Grand Mosque of Makkah are Pakistanis. Saudi and Iraqi jails are full of Pakistani beggars and pickpockets. Both countries have complained to Pakistan in this regard. Khanzada said in the Senate committee meeting that we have to resolve this matter.

There are around one million Pakistanis abroad. A large number of people are pickpockets. Chairman of the committee Rana Mahmud Hasan Kakar also lamented the bankruptcy of Pakistanis in the field of employment. While Japan sought 3.4 lakh skilled workers, 1.5 lakh from India and 91,000 from Nepal got a chance and only 200 people were selected from Pakistan. This is when 50,000 engineers are unemployed in Pakistan. India and Nepal taught Japanese to their candidates. We might not – Kakar said.
