The digitalization strategic lever of the NMD revealing the MD Talks

Maroc Diplomatique kicked off this Friday, May 27, the second session of MD Talks, a cycle of African and international strategic reflection conferences, following a two-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the start of the 2022 academic year, digital technology, one of the major challenges of the global economy, is debated during this conference on the theme: “Digitalization, strategic lever of the New Development Model. »

Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, this event sees the participation of several members of the government including Mr. Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of industry and trade, Mrs. Aouatif Hayar, Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family and Mr. Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication. As a reminder, Mr. Benmoussa was one of the great architects of the NMD, because he had the heavy task of being the president of the Commission.

At the opening of the conference, Mr. Hassan Alaoui, Director of Publication and Mrs. Souad Mekkaoui, Editorial Director will deliver their welcome address.

This return to the MD Talks is enhanced by the presence of Diplomatic guests of honor with HE LI Changlin, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Morocco, HE Mohamat Abdelrassoul, Ambassador of Chad to Morocco and HE Lezin issha Boussougou, Consul General of the Republic of Gabon in Laâyoune.

On the institutional side, we note the participation of Mr. Abderrahim El Hafidi, Director General of ONEE and President of the Arab Electricity Union, Mr. Sidi Mohammed Drissi Melyani. Director General of the Digital Development Agency (ADD) and Mr. Benacer Boulaajoul, Director of the National Road Safety Agency NARSA.

Partner of Maroc Diplomatique at this conference, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation is represented by Mr. Steffen Krüger, its Resident Representative in Morocco, who will make his speech during the institutional plenary.
