The DIC has completed its investigation into the Covid funds

The DIC has completed its report on the misappropriated Covid funds after five months of investigation.

The Court of Auditors had published a report on the management of Covid Force funds. It noted irregularities in the procedures for purchasing products or in the granting of aid intended for the populations during this period.

The document was transmitted by the first President of the Court of Auditors to the Keeper of the Seals Ismaila Madior Fall. The latter, in turn, transmitted the report to the Public Prosecutor after the first president of the Court of Auditors requested the opening of a dozen judicial inquiries against the pinned persons, including ministers.

Five months later, Enquête learned that the DIC is at the end of its investigations and transmitted them to the competent authority. It is up to the latter to judge whether or not to prosecute the alleged white-collar offenders pinned down by the DIC.

Among the ministries concerned by the investigation files, there is the Ministry of Women and the Family, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Geology, the Ministry of Youth, the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Community Development.

All these fine people risk filing for justice, in the event that the instructions of the DIC are followed by effect. There is also the investigation concerning the Ministry of Health under Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr which is in the process of being completed.
