On Friday at the junction of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on the expressway, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem has announced a halt on Murree Road while addressing the participants of the sit-in.

He said, ‘The sit-in will not end, but it has just begun. The production of form 47 by the government today is the extreme of fascism.

He demanded the release of the detained protestors from different places of Islamabad and said, ‘We are peaceful people, our workers should be released, how many people will the government arrest, the number is increasing with every passing day. Will be.’

Amir Jamaat-e-Islami said that he had asked to come to Islamabad and he has come, ‘We have to remain peaceful in this movement. We have just implemented the first part of Plan B. D Chowk will also go and will definitely go.’

He said, ‘Our next stop will be at Murree Road. While after the consultation, I will announce the future action plan.’

Talking to private news channel Geo News, he said that ‘We did not go to D Chowk because if there was a clash, the government would take advantage of it.’

Jamaat-e-Islami had announced a demonstration and sit-in at D Chowk near Redzone in Islamabad on Friday.

On the other hand, in Pakistan, the opposition alliance Tehreek-e-Tafzaz Constitution of Pakistan (PTI and allied parties) had also announced a nationwide protest against the release of political prisoners including Imran Khan, peace and inflation.

While both Jamaat-e-Islami and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Tafaqus Ayin Pakistan have also claimed the arrest of their workers and leaders in the alleged actions last night.

However, when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf was not given permission to protest on Friday, PTI leader Aamir Mughal said, “We approached the Islamabad High Court for not being given permission to protest, where the administration has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf cannot be allowed due to Article 144.

According to Amir Mughal, ‘That is why we have decided to postpone today’s protest. Now we will protest on Monday according to the court order.’

According to Correspondent Quratul-Ain Shirazi, the spokesperson of the opposition Tehreek Tehreek-e-Tafaquz Constitution of Pakistan Akhunzada Yousafzai has told Independent Urdu that ‘the opposition will protest today in any case outside the National Press Club.’

While Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Zulfi Bukhari also denied postponing today’s protest while talking to Independent Urdu.

On the other hand, during the protest of Jamaat-e-Islami, the Islamabad police has detained many workers.

Spokesman Islamabad Police Taqi Jawad has told Independent Urdu that ’10 protesters of Jamaat-e-Islami have been detained by the police, they have not been arrested.’

Pakistan Constitution Protection Movement protest in Sindh

According to Independent Urdu Correspondent Amar Garu from Karachi, Tehreek-e-Tafaquz-e-Iyin-Pakistan, on the call of the coalition parties from the platform of the Pakistan Constitution, in different divisions of Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, as well as across the country. A protest has been called.

While according to the leadership of PTI Sindh, ‘More than 50 PTI workers were arrested across Sindh.’

Tehreek Tahafuz Constitution of Pakistan protest in Lahore

According to Correspondent Arshad Chaudhry, workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Tehreek-e-Takhafuz Ayin-e-Pakistan also protested at Bhatta Chowk in Lahore. Member of Punjab Assembly Sheikh Imtiaz Mehmood led the protest.

Meanwhile, the workers carried PTI flags and raised slogans against inflation and electricity bills.

Also in Shahdara Lahore, under the leadership of engineer Yasir Gilani and Ali Ijaz Buttar, a protest was organized by Tehreek Tahafuz Ayin Pakistan against the release of Imran Khan and inflation.

The Interior Department of Punjab and the local administration of Islamabad say that due to the implementation of Section 144 in the province and the federal capital, public gatherings are banned.

Some roads in the federal capital were closed to traffic in the early hours of Friday, while containers were also placed on the sides of several main highways.

Protest in Peshawar

According to correspondent Izharullah from Peshawar, the local leadership also organized various rallies at the constituency level in many areas of the city, in which workers participated by raising Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf flags.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf announced a nationwide protest on Friday under the banner of Tehreek-e-Tafzaf Constitution of Pakistan, and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Umar Ayub appealed to the people for ‘full participation’ in the peaceful protest across the country.

He said that the protest would have three demands: immediate release of detained PTI leaders and supporters, establishment of peace in the country and registration of protest against rising inflation.

Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai, who leads the opposition alliance known as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Tahafuz Ayin Pakistan, has also announced a major protest for the release of political prisoners on Friday, called by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam. It also has the support of Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the head of F.

According to PTI Punjab, the police have started arresting its leaders and workers and raiding their homes.

Jamaat-e-Islami is also going to stage a sit-in at Islamabad’s D Chowk on July 26, demanding a reduction in electricity rates, withdrawal of the electricity tariff slab system and revision of contracts with independent power producers.

Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman while talking to the media said that Islamabad dharna on July 26 is against people’s rights, inflation and illegal taxes imposed in the recent budget.

The party said it will continue its sit-in at D Chowk at all costs despite the imposition of Section 144.

Jamaat-e-Islami has also accused its workers and leaders of arrests.

According to Jamaat-e-Islami Information Secretary Qaiser Sharif, the police raided the house of Gujarat District Amir Chaudhry Ansar Mehmood Advocate, while the police also raided the offices of the Jamaat in Sargodha.

He said that the police also raided the Islamic Center of Jamaat-e-Islami in Gujarat. At the same time, he alleged that the houses of Jamaat-e-Islami’s Nadeem Waqar Waraich, Rizwan Yusuf and Gibran Butt were also raided in Lahore.

He further alleged that 70 workers of Jamaat-e-Islami, Okara were taken off the bus and arrested while coming to Islamabad.

Section 144 in Islamabad and Punjab

The Punjab Home Department had said in an order on Thursday that ‘in view of the current law and order situation and security threats, any political gathering or assembly is likely to provide a ‘soft target’ to terrorists and miscreants.’

The order said that any political gathering poses ‘serious security risks’ and is ‘a threat to public order and is likely to cause inconvenience to the public at large.’

“In the larger interest of public safety, security, peace and tranquility, it is necessary to ensure the security of people and facilities/buildings against any potential terrorist or untoward activity,” the Home Department said.

The order further states that ‘now the Government of Punjab bans all kinds of political gatherings, gatherings, sit-ins, meetings, demonstrations, rallies, protests and other such activities throughout Punjab from July 26 to 28.’

On the other hand, the district administration of Islamabad said in a statement that Section 144 is in force in the federal capital and no rally or protest will be allowed.

In a post on X, the Islamabad Police said: ‘Police are deployed at meetings and processions in view of Muharram. Violators of the law will be dealt with severely.’

Section 144 of the Penal Code is a legal provision that empowers the district administration to prohibit the assembly of four or more people in an area for a limited period.

It is usually deployed to prevent a possible untoward situation, maintain law and order and prevent any kind of activities that may lead to violence.
