We learned, with great astonishment, of the refusal of the electoral administration to give the representative of President Ousmane SONKO the model of the sponsorship form.
We denounce this umpteenth crime against a political opponent, and which aims to exclude, as was the case in 2019, a candidate for the presidential election. A serious and obvious breach of the democratic principle.

In addition, we recall that only the constitutional council has the responsibility and the power to validate an application, especially since the order of September 25, 2023 of the Minister of the Interior clearly states, in paragraph 5, that the issuance of forms collection by the administration is not recognition of any status to the candidate for candidacy.
I strongly denounce this failure and demand from the DGE that President Ousmane SONKO’s representative be given his sponsorship form, and this as quickly as possible, so that he can, as authorized by the Constitution, take note of his absolute right of candidacy in the presidential election.
