Respondents said that Indonesian consumers’ preferences have changed. Initially, Indonesian consumers preferred salty flavors, but now they are shifting to spicy, savory, and garlic flavors.

To meet consumer demand, respondents also plan to boost premium food production over the next five years and create flavors inspired by Korean, Japanese or other dishes that are popular on the platform. TikTok.

However, this research shows that many food companies still have difficulty in creating new food flavors to meet market demand.

“We see consumers are now increasingly interested in trending food flavors. This can certainly be an opportunity.
