The former head of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, launches the Movement for Development (MAD), a space that aims to create a centrist political alternative, which does not include Kirchnerists or libertarians, and aims to be an opposition to La Libertad Avanza (LLA)
For some time now, Larreta has been holding meetings with various political actors, leaders, provincial and municipal officials, mainly from the Juntos por el Cambio and Peronist (non-Kirchnerist) forces, to organize and institutionalize the MAD.
One of the personalities that make up this platform is Senator Guadalupe Tagliaferri, who was elected as the president of the space; she is followed by Pablo Avelluto, former Minister of Culture, who will take on the role of General Secretary; the national deputy Álvaro González and the Buenos Aires legislator Emmanuel Ferrario, and will have the advice of the former Minister of Economy Hernán Lacunza.
The former Buenos Aires official believes that this alternative should be “solid” for “face” the consequences “that Milei’s government will have” why, “possibly“There is a decline in the image of the Government due to the economic and social indicators, which are already known.
In his own words, the idea that President Javier Milei is “The mole that comes to destroy the State from within” es “very dangerous and has effects“, why “The State withdraws from the education of children in the Buenos Aires suburbs or from the maintenance of communication routes”.
It is worth remembering that the former presidential candidate distanced himself from PRO (and Juntos por el Cambio) after members of the party first approached Milei and then joined his cabinet; he also made it clear many times that he did not agree with forming an alliance with LLA.
