The artist’s heir decided to take a desperate step due to his difficult life.

Leonid Bykov became a father in 1956, when his son Ales was born. The heir to the screen star grew up as stubborn and straightforward as his father, which had a very negative impact on his life.

So, while serving in the army, his company showed the work of Bykov Sr. “Only “old men” go into battle.” And one of the officers began to publicly insult the director, his family, and all participants in the film. Ales might not stand the attacks and attacked the offender with his fists, which is why he was immediately arrested and sent to a hospital.

At the military clinic they began to inject him with many drugs and gave him a diagnosis that prohibited him from working. For many years, Bykov Jr. might not challenge the doctors’ decision, which is why he was not even hired as a driver.

And years later he decided to flee the country. At first, Bykov tried to ask for political asylum in Hungary, but local authorities deported him back. The second time he managed to get to Austria, where they met him halfway. And in the end he moved to Canada, where he took his wife, and has been living in a new country ever since.
