The departure of Faisal Farhat… alone on the rooftops of Ras Beirut

“With the right of my son,” adapted from Jalal Khoury’s play “Juha in the Frontal Villages,” directed by Siham Nasser.

“Isolated Farm” was shown as part of the “Who Drama?” Directed by Anis Samaha, at the West Hall Theater at the American University in late 1976.

Kafr Jabrout, 1977, was shown in Jbaa and Sidon, and pictures were directed by the writer.

“Lebanon in theatrical paintings” was shown on International Women’s Day at the UNESCO Theater and at the Theater of the Faculty of Education at the Lebanese University in 1978.

Mustafa” 2019, and this he wrote during his trip to the United States in 1983 to join his American girlfriend, and he worked there as a porter and waiter in restaurants. There he wrote the play but did not have a producer for it. Even the “Lebanese Arab Committee”, which used to bring Arab performances there and fund them, rejected his play and asked him: “We did something folklore!”

As for his last book, it was published last year, entitled “The Resurrection of Collapsed Lebanon” 2022. But he did not wait to see the resurrection of Lebanon, which he loved.

He was close to the late director Jalal Khoury and the late poet Joseph Harb, and he played a small role in Ziad Rahbani’s play “As for Bakra Shaw”.
