The executive bodies in various areas of Cairo Governorate are working on implementing several development projects that require removing conflicts with these projects, which include demolishing real estate and transferring its residents to other areas or demolishing cemeteries and transferring the remains of the dead in alternative ones.
Masrawy monitors the latest update of the map of the ongoing removals, which ended a few days ago in Cairo Governorate.
Real estate removal to create 7 new hubs in the meadow
The Eastern District of Cairo Governorate continues to list the properties that will be removed in order to establish 7 new hubs in El-Marg.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Deputy Governor of Cairo for the Eastern Region, told Masrawy that so far there is no specific number of properties targeted for removal, pointing out that inventory work is underway until this moment.
Representative Ahmed Ali, deputy of the Marg district, clarified the names of 7 new traffic axes that will be implemented by Cairo Governorate within the neighborhood.
Ali told Masrawy today, Sunday, that Al-Marj neighborhood means traffic crises and severe congestion, as it is expected that these new hubs will contribute to solving this crisis.
He pointed out that the seven new axes are as follows:
1- The western station axis, from Marg to Ramses.
2- The axis of the Zakat Foundation from Nazlat Al-Dairi to the Foundation and Mostorod bridge.
3- Al-Firdaws Axis and Trolley Street.
4- Abdullah Rifai Street axis to connect Muhammad Najib.
5- Muhammad Naguib axis.
6- Al-Shaheed Street axis.
7- Sheikh Mansour axis.
Removing the tombs of Sidi Abdallah to create the Yasser Rizk axis
Cairo Governorate is working to remove a group of cemeteries in the Qarafat Sidi Abdullah area in the Al-Tunisi area in the Al-Khalifa neighborhood in order to establish the Yasser Rizk axis in the Mokattam area.
The Cairo governorate asked the families to transfer the remains of their dead in order to demolish the remaining cemeteries, and the governorate would give alternative cemeteries to the people in the city of 15 May.
Removal of Al-Jabkhana properties overlooking the ring road
Cairo Governorate is regarding to complete the complete removal of the houses that represent an imminent danger in the Jabkhana area, which are built on the edge of the mountain surrounding the archaeological area, in order to ensure the lives of citizens who are transferred to civilized housing in the Mahrousa area with integrated services.
Cairo Governorate moved more than 720 families and they were placed in alternative housing, in addition to the removal of more than 172 properties.
This area is considered an imminent danger because it is located on the edge of the mountain and facing the ascending road in the vicinity of the ring road.
It is intended to remove 187 properties built on state property and to transfer residents to units equipped with Al-Mahrousa Civilization Residences in Al-Salam neighborhood, in order to ensure their lives.
Removal of 35 properties in Ain Shams
Yesterday, Cairo Governorate completed the removal of the last property on Asas Al-Haggana Street in Ain Shams.
The eastern region of the province said, in a statement, that full compensation was paid to the residents, with 35 properties for regarding 250 families.
Asas Al-Haggana Street connects the Ain Shams metro station to Helmeya Square to serve the residents of the area.
Removal of Hussein Kamel Selim Street real estate
The authorities of the eastern region of Cairo Governorate, represented in the Heliopolis district, have completed the removal of first-row properties on Hussein Kamel Selim Street in the Almaza area in order to widen the street, as well as disbursing the prescribed compensation to the people whose properties were removed.
