It is a place full of mystery. A place filled with 120 hectares near the forest, south of Paris. Alain Delon has lived there for several decades and particularly for a few months, far from the cameras. Images of the actor are rare, only a few photos or videos posted by his children on social networks provide his news.
The house stands proudly on the side of the road. On the wrought iron gate of the entrance, we can read the intertwined letters of the initials of Alain Delon and Mireille Darc. The couple had made this estate a haven of peace. Abel Martin, mayor of the town, remembers their active participation in village life: “The Delon family, at the time when there was Mireille Darc, brought a lot to the town. She participated in the toy collection, the packages for the elderly… Once she left, everything changed“.
Since 2019, the actor has had a series of health problems… And intra-family tensions, between his children, continue to explode. Alain has never reappeared since the expulsion of his companion, suspected of breach of trust.
In a village inn, a table is dedicated to him. He came to eat there regularly… This is unfortunately no longer the case. Claude Gruenenberger, co-owner of the establishment, is nostalgic. “He liked to come and eat in the evening, peacefully“, he said. A neighbor remembers the time when she brought him breakfast: “Tea, rusks with white honey and butter, and mango… And there you have it“.
Aged 88, Alain Delon no longer goes out. In 2015, he requested to be buried on his property. “He put his chapel to be buried in it. His dogs are also buried there“, explains the Mayor.
Today, the inhabitants of the village wish to remember him as the man of the village rather than as the sacred monster of French cinema
