Matías Sicre, 24, would have been the one who hit Carlos Amieva.
He argued that both Sicre and Amieva “subdued”. “Amieva held him, Diego tried to get away, and at that moment the companion came out, Matías Sicre, who dealt a single punch to Amieva, who had already released Diego, and as a result of that blow to Amieva’s left side, he fell to the ground and hit his head.”
He said that both Amieva and the defendants are large, robust people, so “the version they gave us yesterday does not seem unreasonable“.
He clarified that “these are still hypotheses that we have to analyze and deepen to know what really happened. So far there is no video of the incident.”
“The involvement of the two suspects is different and there was no common plan between them to kill anyone. These situations happen like when one collides,” added the defender of the accused Diego and Matías Sicre.
At first, the suspects were charged by the prosecutor Eugenia Gómez for serious injuries and on Tuesday the qualification was changed to attempted homicide; but with the fatal outcome of Amieva it is expected that in the next few hours the accusation will change once more.
