The defender of Azovstal, Nazarii Hryntsevich, who was released from captivity, died in the war

A 21-year-old resident of Vinnytsia, “from Azov” Nazarii Hryntsevich, nicknamed “Hrinka”, died at the front.

As reported by Ukrinform, it is reported Public.

Nazarii was captured following being evacuated from the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol, where he and his comrades held the defense for three months. He was kept in a colony on the territory of the so-called “DNR” for more than four months.

Hryntsevich was one of the youngest soldiers who participated in the defense of Azovstal.

On September 21, 2022, Hryntsevich, together with 215 Ukrainian prisoners of war, was released from Russian captivity as part of a large exchange.

After his release from captivity, the fighter became the commander of a platoon of optical observers of the “Contact 12” unit.

Nazari turned 21 on March 10, 2024.

As reported by Ukrinform, the mayor of Lebedyn, paratrooper Oleksandr Baklykov, died in the war.
