“The text comes into force on March 1, 2022, with the exception of the provisions relating to the revaluation of the allowance paid under the youth employment contract which come into force on January 1, 2023”, specifies the decree of February 18. .
Payment of the allowance “may be withdrawn, in whole or in part, when the young person, without legitimate reason, is absent from an action provided for in the context of his youth employment contract or cannot justify the performance of positive acts defined within this same framework”, underlines the text. According to INSEE, the rate of 15-29 year olds “neither in employment, nor in studies, nor in training” was 12.2% in the fourth quarter of 2021, or nearly 1.5 million people.
