The decorative stitched cloth around the ‘Hajrul Aswadi’ has also been replaced

Jeddah: The work of replacing the decorative stitched (embroidered) pieces of cloth around the ‘Hajrul Aswadi’ and ‘Ruknul Yamani’ of the Kaaba has been completed. Under the supervision of the Iruharam office, the experts of the King Abdul Aziz Kiswa Complex replaced the pieces of cloth decorated with golden thread around ‘Hajrul Aswadi’ and ‘Ruknul Yamani’.

It took six expert tailors 20 days to complete the work of replacing the new pieces of cloth. Considering the increased number of people coming for Tawaf, this is a part of providing more facilities for those who say Salam in ‘Hajrul Aswadi’ and ‘Ruknul Yamani’.

Kiswa Complex Under Secretary Ng said that ‘Hajrul Aswadi’ and ‘Ruknul Yamani’ are embroidered with the highest quality and latest techniques used in automatic embroidery (Tajima Machine). Amjad Alhazmi said.

Gold color threads are used in the embroidery process. The embroidery is done on black cloth. Kiswa is continuously checked by the officials of the department for maintenance of Kiswa. Al-Hazmi said that if any damage is found in any part of the Kiswa, including the part of Hajrul Aswad and Ruknul Yamani, it is repaired immediately.
