In an interview with Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said that “OPEC Plus’ decision is purely economic and was taken unanimously by the member states.” He added, “The OPEC Plus countries acted responsibly and took the appropriate decision.”
He continued, “The OPEC Plus countries seek to stabilize the market and achieve the interests of producers and consumers.” He explained that “the relationship with Washington is strategic and supports the security and stability of the region.”
The Saudi foreign minister also told Al Arabiya that “Military cooperation between Riyadh and Washington It serves the interests of the two countries and contributed to the stability of the region. Our relationship with the United States is institutional since the relationship between the two countries was established.
On the Russian-Ukrainian war, he said: “We seek to push the parties to the Ukrainian crisis to dialogue to stop the conflict.”
On the Yemeni crisis, he explained that “the efforts to extend the armistice in Yemen are still in place…the Yemeni government has shown great flexibility with a high responsibility towards Yemen’s interest.”
In response to a question, the Saudi foreign minister told Al Arabiya: “The dialogue with Iran has not yet reached tangible results, and we are looking at a sixth round of talks.”
On the relationship with China, Bin Farhan told Al Arabiya that “the relationship with China is economic at the first level, and we have many joint economic projects.”
And the Saudi foreign minister continued: “We hope that Iraq will overcome the political turmoil that is currently afflicting it.”
