Raiola immigrated to Holland as a child. He played with the youth team of “HFC Haarlem”. He was known for negotiating the transfer of the then young Dutch striker, Dennis Bergkamp, to Inter Milan from Ajax.
Raiola was one of the most underrated personalities in the world of football, and was known to be a tough negotiator. In the recent transfer markets, his name appeared strongly, especially following he started his work with Erling Haaland.
Raiola is included in Forbes’ list of the richest. In recent years, he, along with other agents such as Jorge Mendes and Jonathan Barnett, created an association of players’ representatives that was involved in a dispute with FIFA.
