The Egyptian actress, Maha Abu Auf, died at the age of 65 in the early hours of Thursday morning, as she died in a hospital following a struggle with illness.

The news was announced by the artist, Munir Makram, a member of the Representative Council of the Syndicate of Acting Professions, stressing that the body will be buried to his final resting place on Thursday noon from the Al-Rahman Al-Rahim Mosque in Nasr City in Cairo.

Maha Abu Auf, who graduated from the American University in Cairo, participated with her late brother Ezzat Abu Auf, and her three sisters in forming the band known as “FourM” in the late seventies of the last century.

However, despite the cessation of the band’s work, she continued her artistic work, and presented many roles in cinema and television, and she and Izzat Abu Auf continued to represent the family in the artistic field.

The late actress presented more than 120 works of art, the most recent of which was the series “Velvet Silk”, which was shown last year, while the most famous works in which she participated in television were “Fares without a Horse”, “Hadrat al-Muthham Abi” and “Ragel and Settat”.

She was also famous for her kindness within the artistic community, and she was like a mother to everyone, which made a large number of art stars express their shock and sadness at her departure.
